Discussions will include the use of automated driving and AI technologies to improve transportation efficiency, as well as C-ITS systems for optimized traffic flow management. Additionally, the session will review cross-national policies, encouraging collaboration on smart transport solutions. PL 2. Connecting Cities and People : Towards Safe, Inclusive and Resilient Mobility

  • The session “Connecting Cities and People: Towards Safe, Inclusive, and Resilient Mobility” aims to create safe, inclusive, and resilient transportation systems. Addressing safety, advancements in traffic management, and autonomous systems will be highlighted. Centered on inclusiveness, it will examine strategies for equitable access, including nomadic device-based apps tailored to vulnerable road users (VRUs), as well as micro-mobility options like e-scooters and bikes, and Mobility as a Service (MaaS) to bridge first and last mile gaps. The session will also discuss climate-resilient transport solutions to withstand and recover from natural disasters, supporting sustainable urban living standards.
