ITS India Forum played a leading role in the International Conference on Smart Mobility Systems (ICSMS 2025), held at the Ambedkar International Centre, New Delhi, on April 26–27. The two-day conference brought together senior government officials, global experts, researchers, and innovators to explore emerging solutions in connected mobility, digital infrastructure, electric vehicles, and intelligent transport systems.

The inaugural session featured welcome addresses from dignitaries including Dr. Shiv Kumar (DG, ITS India Forum), Shri Sunil (President, IETE), Lt Gen Ulhas Kirpekar (DG, Corps of Signals), and Mr. Akhilesh Srivastava (President, ITS India Forum). The event also included keynote lectures by Dr. Nilesh Desai (Director, SAC–ISRO) and several high-level plenary sessions.

Day 1 explored topics such as connected vehicle technologies, standardization in ITS, AI in traffic systems, and EV-led sustainability. Speakers included experts from BIS, Qualcomm, C-DAC, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Motors, and CSIR-CRRI. Day 2 focused on road safety, human-centric AI, cybersecurity, and data-driven mobility solutions, with contributions from national and international stakeholders including IIT Delhi, Ola Mobility Institute, Jio, and the Delhi Police.

Mr. Akhilesh Srivastava chaired the session on “Next-Gen Road Safety and AI in ITS,” underscoring the importance of human-centered innovation. The event also featured parallel technical paper sessions on EVs, IoT, data analytics, and security systems.

ITS India Forum’s active participation in ICSMS 2025 reaffirmed its leadership in shaping India’s smart transport policy, bridging research with implementation, and supporting cross-sector collaboration for a safer, connected, and more sustainable mobility future.
