ITS India Forum Presents India’s Vision at ITS Asia-Pacific Forum 2025 in Suwon, South Korea/h2>

A high-level delegation from the ITS India Forum participated in the 20th ITS Asia-Pacific Forum, held from May 27–30, 2025, in Suwon, South Korea, under the theme “Hyper-Connected Cities by ITS.” This prestigious international gathering brought together transportation leaders, policymakers, academics, and technologists from across the Asia-Pacific region to discuss the future of mobility, innovation, and intelligent transport systems.

Representing India on the global stage, Mr. Akhilesh Srivastava, President of ITS India Forum, delivered a keynote address and presented the India Report on Intelligent Transport Systems. His remarks emphasized India’s growing commitment to smart mobility, digital infrastructure, and cross-border cooperation in ITS implementation. As a panelist during Executive Session II—“Exploring Current Status and Future Strategies on ITS in Asia-Pacific Region”—he shared India’s key milestones, pilot initiatives, and the evolving policy framework to support sustainable and intelligent transport systems.

The Forum featured high-level roundtables, plenary sessions, and technology showcases focused on resilient, inclusive, and data-driven mobility solutions. ITS India’s participation helped strengthen strategic collaborations with peer ITS organizations from countries including Japan, South Korea, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and New Zealand.

The presence of the Indian delegation underscored the country’s leadership ambitions in shaping a connected transport future and laid the groundwork for future bilateral engagements and knowledge-sharing partnerships across the Asia-Pacific.
