In January 2023, SAU moved to its permanent 100-acre campus in Maidan Garhi, South Delhi, adjacent to IGNOU
SAU offers a range of postgraduate and doctoral programs across disciplines such as Applied Mathematics, Biotechnology, Computer Science, Economics, International Relations, Legal Studies, and Sociology. The university emphasizes research and aims to create a South Asian community of intellectuals, promoting mutual understanding and regional development. Degrees awarded by SAU are recognized by all SAARC member countries, and the university conducts annual entrance tests across the region to select students
