The Asian Institute of Transport Development (AITD), established in 1989, is a non-profit organization based in Dwarka, New Delhi. Founded in response to the National Transport Policy Committee's recommendations, AITD focuses on capacity building, research, and regional cooperation in the infrastructure sector, with a special emphasis on transport, trade, and logistics.

The institute has been instrumental in establishing initiatives like the Asian Railway Association and has contributed to studies on multimodal transport, urban mobility, and infrastructure financing. Through its research and training programs, AITD supports the development of policies and strategies that address the evolving challenges in the transport and logistics sectors across Asia.
